Verified Beef Approved

Paul Meunier and Sons Farms is Verified Beef Production Plus (VBP+) approved.

In addition to an on-farm audit, this dynamic program requires ongoing, progressive record-keeping of every animal on our farm. This assists with meeting consumer demands for transparent and sustainable beef production.

VBP+ links the on-farm recording and auditing of animal care, biosecurity and environmental stewardship practices with the established Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) reviewed on-farm food safety (VBP) program.

Environmental Farm Plan (EFP)

Paul Meunier and Sons Farms believes a healthy environment is essential to agricultural success, therefore, in 2020, successfully completed an Alberta Environmental Action Plan.

An Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) is a voluntary, whole farm tool that helps producers identify their environmental risks, thus, creating a plan to mitigate risks.

Implementing an environmental action plan acts a blueprint for improving operations and sustainability.

Our farm promotes conservation practices and continuously seeks practices and ideas that will enhance agriculture and the environment by updating and improving methods compatible with the environment.

When bale grazing, producers must ensure that bales are placed in a manner that allows equal access to feed by all the animals, even distribution of nutrients and allows for cross fencing.
